- WEST MAUI -

1. Honolua Bay

Honolua Bay is a beautiful lush jungle location. Overgrown with ferns, leaves, and trees as far as the eye can see. Due to the dense foliage cover, this location is perfect for photoshoots in the middle of the day. Consult with your photographer on the best time to book this location, as it is different from any other location offered on West Maui. Truly a unique location to capture your Maui portraits, think of Honolua Bay as West Maui’s ode to Hana.

2. Ironwoods Beach*

Ironwoods Beach is the perfect spot for either a morning or sunset session. This location offers a variety of backdrops in one convenient destination. Featuring a vast sandy beach, views of Molokai, and lava rock cliffs flanking both ends of the beach. If you’re wanting a more dramatic setting, the cliffs serve as a secondary location all within a 5 minute walk from the parking lot. *Our top booked locations on West Maui.

Pro Tip: Parking spots are limited for this beach. Minimize the cars you take to this location, or opt in for a Lyft / Uber.

3. DT Fleming Beach

DT Fleming Beach is another beautiful, spacious beach located on the northwest side of Maui. Recommended for those looking to book a morning session. The lighting for sunrise is stunning from this location. Featuring views of Dragons Teeth, a unique rock formation created from one of the final lava flows on West Maui. Add a second location to your booking, and access both of these spectacular locations in one shoot! If you’re staying at the Ritz Carlton, this is a convenient location, only a 10 minute walk from your hotel. If you’re driving to your photoshoot, there is plenty of parking, making this a great location to book for larger families.

4. olowalu Beach

Olowalu Beach boasts incredible views from every angle. Morning bookings will enjoy the sun rise over the breathtaking West Maui mountains. Across the water, the Island of Lana’i glows orange and red with the first light of the day. On a clear day, you can even see the observatory on the summit of Haleakala in the distance. After your photoshoot, you can explore the local markets and eateries right across the street. World-famous Leoda’s Kitchen and Pie Shop opens at 10a for brunch, order ahead to beat the line! The Olowalu Farmers Market is a great place to shop and support our local farmers.

5. Ukumehame Beach

Ukumehame Beach, known to locals as Thousand Peaks for its endless surfable waves during the summer months. Located at the base of the West Maui mountains, the beach is accented with trees and beautiful driftwood. With views of the Island of Kaho’olawe and Lana’i, Ukumehame Beach is the most central photoshoot location we offer. Perfect for those who are staying somewhere other than West Maui, but don’t wish to pay the travel fee. Minutes away from Olowalu, and a short drive from Maalaea Harbor, shops, and the Maui Ocean Center. Recommended for morning bookings, but inquire today about options for sunset as well!
